Subject to certain restrictions, the Delhi High Court has granted permission for Ashneer Grover, a co-founder of BharatPe and former managing director, and his wife Madhuri Grover Jain, a former HR officer at the payments company, to travel to Doha and the UK.
The husband-wife duo, who have lookout circulars issued against them, have been permitted to travel abroad together from September 28 to October 7.
The petitioner had been before the investigating agency whenever they were summoned, the court of Justice Sanjeev Narula noted.
The Delhi Police’s Economic Offenses Wing objected to the trip request, voicing grave concerns that Ashneer and his wife Madhuri might not return if they went abroad together.
