
As part of an agreement to sponsor the TV show, Zomato’s rival Swiggy has requested that cofounder and CEO Deepinder Goyal be removed from the upcoming season of Shark Tank India.
Goyal told Economic Times, “I’m afraid I can’t go back because Swiggy sponsored Shark Tank this time and kicked me out.”
IPO-oriented According to the terms of the sponsorship deal, Swiggy has insisted that Goyal be excluded from the TV show’s judging panel.
The foodtech company with headquarters in Bengaluru is reportedly nearing completion on an INR 25 Cr sponsorship deal to support the fourth season of Shark Tank India.
When asked about Swiggy’s IPO, Goyal answered, “We don’t even know,” honestly not knowing.
