According to those acquainted with the situation, Caratlane’s creator Mithun Sacheti and his brother Siddhartha Sacheti, CEO of Jaipur Gems, have established Finqube Capital Private Limited as an investment vehicle in an effort to institutionalize their angel investments.
Finqube, a Chennai-registered company, will manage the pair’s investments in startups and growth-stage businesses.
According to sources, the two investments made by the Sacheti brothers come from the new company, which may take the form of a family office or a corporate venture fund.
These investments include their involvement in the INR 900 Cr preferential rights offer of listed gaming giant Nazara and their investment in Ippopay.
