Ola Electric Receives A Show Cause Notice From The CCPA

Just one day following a public altercation between comedian Kunal Kamra and Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal regarding the latter’s after-sales services, the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has served the electric vehicle (EV) giant with a show cause notice.

The company stated in an exchange filing that it has been instructed by the consumer watchdog to reply to the show cause notice in a maximum of 15 days. According to the corporation, Ola Electric is accused of unfair trade practices, deceptive advertising, and violating consumer rights.

We would like to notify you that the Central Consumer Protection Authority has issued the Company with a show cause notice. The business has been given by the CCPA a deadline of 15 days to reply to the show cause notice.
