A group of workers and Samsung India have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to end the ongoing strike at the company’s plant in Sriperumbudur, which is close to Chennai.
Samsung India has consented to a number of requests meant to solve the difficulties that the workforce faces.
The Tamil Nadu administration was encouraged by the union government last month to accelerate the strike’s conclusion. Since September 9, workers at Samsung Electronics have staged protests outside the facility, calling for the corporation to recognize the Samsung India Workers Union, which has been requested for a long time.
The corporation stated that it would prioritize putting several initiatives into place to enhance the working environment for the welfare of its employees, according to an ET article.
