Virtusa Corporation, a global leader in digital business strategy, digital engineering, and IT services, has announced a leadership transition with Nitesh Banga being appointed as President and CEO, effective February 3, 2025.
He will take over from Santosh Thomas, who is stepping down to explore new opportunities. To ensure a smooth transition, Thomas will continue as a strategic advisor for a limited period.

He oversaw key acquisitions and digital capability expansions, significantly enhancing services and achieving record-high client and employee satisfaction.

Nitesh Banga joins Virtusa from GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group company, where he served as President & CEO. An industry veteran, he brings extensive experience in strategy, business development, service delivery, operations, and M&A. At GlobalLogic, he drove transformational growth, led its integration with Hitachi, and maintained exceptional client and employee satisfaction. With nearly three decades in technology services, including over 20 years at Infosys in various global leadership roles, he brings a strong track record of strategic and results-driven leadership.
