The Japanese beauty goods business Kose Corporation led a $30 million (about Rs 250 crore) fundraising round for the skincare brand Foxtale, based in Mumbai.
According to the founder and CEO Romita Mazumdar, the startup’s current backers Z47 (formerly Matrix Partners India), Kae Capital, and Panthera Growth Partners have also taken part, ET reported.

The rapidly expanding business plans to use the new funding to expand its brand’s online presence and add new categories. According to Mazumdar, Foxtale has had six-to seven-fold growth on rapid commerce platforms since its introduction six months ago.
The company claims that its website generates 50% of its income, online marketplaces and rapid commerce platforms account for 40%, and offline sales channels account for the remaining 10%.
