In a pre-series A investment round led by Equanimity Investments and included participation from its current investor, IndiaQuotient, the spiritual tech firm Utsav App has raised INR 6.35 crore.
With the new funding, the Kolkata-based business intends to expand its operations by adding more temples and adding AI-powered features to its platform.
We appreciate Equanimity Investments and India Quotient joining us on this adventure. The goal of Utsav has always been to unite technology and devotion, according to Sourajit Basu, one of the organization’s co-founders.

The Utsav App, which was founded in 2021 by Sourajit Basu, Ankita De, and Prajata Samanta, provides users with an easy way to schedule genuine pujas, get e-prasad delivery, and speak with verified pandits.
Utsav has been expanding steadily in the field of spiritual technology. It raised a $244.08K investment round in June 2023 after raising an undisclosed seed round in December 2021. The industry as a whole is expanding quickly due to rising investor interest and new competitors.
For example, this month, Chingari’s parent business, Tech4Billion Media, launched AstroLive, its first foray into the spiritual tech space. Similar to this, Kuku FM debuted its Bhakti app during Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, and during its testing phase, it received an astounding 500K downloads.
With an anticipated yearly compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10% through 2032, the spiritual market, which was valued at $58.86 billion in 2023, is anticipated to have significant expansion.
