Amazon India and Startup India have collaborated on various projects aimed at enabling startups to establish and expand their enterprises through e-commerce.

The online retailer said in a statement, “Amazon will work with Startup India to enable eligible startups to tap into opportunities in ecommerce by registering on Amazon India’s marketplace through a dedicated page on the Startup India portal.”

The business added that it will give the entrepreneurs a dedicated onboarding experience, go-to-market support, coaching from Amazon executives, and logistical advice.

Amazon stated that it also hopes to empower female entrepreneurs by working with Startup India on its “Saheli” program. The Saheli initiative seeks to assist female entrepreneurs by giving them a venue to exhibit their regionally produced goods.
