The Ahmedabad City Civil Court ordered OYO to open one of the hospitality unicorn’s offices, citing illegality as the reason for the order.

The injunction was issued against OYO Hotels and Home Private Limited one day after the court issued a “distress warrant.” After then, OYO’s coworking space property was secured by a bailiff.

The dispute over payments between Meridian Hotels Ltd., situated in Ahmedabad, and OYO, which is overdue, is the core of the problem. Following a lone arbitrator hearing in the two parties’ dispute, OYO was forced to pay Meridian Hotels INR 4.6 Cr.
