
The Bengaluru-based AppsForBharat, which manages the spiritual technology platform Sri Mandir, has closed a Series B funding round headed by Nandan Nilekani’s VC fund Fundamentum, raising $18 million, or roughly INR 151.1 Cr.
With the increased funding, AppsForBharat intends to expand the functionality of its Sri Mandir app, integrate new temples, introduce new services, and create a comprehensive tech stack for a religious environment.
The spiritual tech business has previously earned $14 million in total capital, $10 million in Series A funding and $4 million in seed funding rounds, respectively.
“Our vision is to transform Sri Mandir into an end-to-end digital tech platform that caters to every aspect of the devotional journey,” stated Prashant Sachan, founder and CEO of AppsForBharat.
