Kreedo Secures $4 Million in Series A Funding

The Singapore-based Heritas Capital and longtime supporter UBS Optimus Foundation led a $4 million Series A fundraising round for the edtech platform Kreedo Early Childhood Solutions.

Other current investors, including Gray Matters Capital, 1Crowd, The Chennai Angels, and the Joka Angel Network, also took part in the investment round. Kreedo presently works with about 1,600 schools in nine cities, serving about 150,000 children, according to co-founder Mridula Shridhar.

With this new funding infusion, Kreedo hopes to broaden its coverage to 270,000 children and over 2,700 schools in the coming year, as well as into three or four more cities, by extending curriculum offerings for Classes 3 to 5.

In order to serve a wider age range within the educational sector, Kreedo’s expansion strategy is focused on increasing its geographic presence and diversifying its product offerings.

The website has been helpful in offering educational materials for kids from three to eight years old, spanning from pre-kindergarten to second grade. With this new support, Kreedo will be able to educate a greater number of children and further its objective to transform early childhood education in India.

Kreedo is in a strong position to continue growing and making an impact on the edtech industry with this expansion.
