Nazara Technologies Increases Stake in Absolute Sports with ₹73 Crore Investment

For INR 72.73 Cr (about $8.4 Mn), gaming giant Nazara Technologies has acquired an additional 10.26% share in its subsidiary Absolute Sports.

According to a press release from the company, the gaming giant has now boosted its overall interest in the subsidiary to 81.94%.

This deal is noteworthy because it is a component of a Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) that was signed in September between Nazara, Absolute Sports, and its original shareholders, Porush Jain and Srinivas Cuddapah. As per the agreement, Nazara will pay INR 145.47 Cr to buy a 19.35% interest in Absolute Sports.

Nazara invested INR 2.3 Cr last week to enhance its ownership of Nextwave Multimedia by 3%. Nazara’s overall stake in Nextwave Multimedia increased from 71.88% to 74.88% as a result of this deal.
