Spacetech startup OrbitAID has secured $1.5 mn pre-seed funding led by Unicorn India Ventures. The Tamil Nadu government, or TANSIM, also participated in the round.
The money will be utilized to progress SIDRP (Standard Interface Docking and Refueling Port) to commercial readiness, grow team capabilities, increase facilities for on-orbit servicing activities, and demonstrate docking and refueling operations in space, according to OrbitAID.

The startup aims to revolutionize sustainable space operations by providing innovative on-orbit refueling solutions, ensuring that spacecraft can extend their missions and reduce space waste through efficient refueling technologies.
